Nigel Mort owned the first Morts Wine Bar in East Molesey from 1984 to 1990, which was awarded the accolade of Surrey Wine Bar of the Year. Thereafter, he was involved with importing wine and beer, as a result of which he moved to the Czech Republic in 1993, returning for good at the beginning of 2012; Morts Wine Bar in Walton on Thames opened on Aprils Fools Day 2012.


Morts Wine Bar opens at 08.00, 7 days a week, and offers breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. The menu is updated several times a year and there is an ever changing daily specials board. 

Under the leadership of Jake, our Executive Chef, who was trained by a French Michelin 2 star chef, we are rapidly developing a deserved reputation for the quality of our dishes, as you can see on our Menus and Gallery pages.
